Home Service Family Portraits Manila: Hong Kong Baby Photography

There is nothing I love more than GREAT Home Lighting. Big windows are MAGIC for a photographer and these lovely parents had a dream window in their apartment for me to shoot with. I would rather shoot natural light than strobes any time, so I was delighted to have this chance. It also helped that it was raining outside and the fog in Hong Kong was pretty thick that day - so it gave me a natural and beautiful diffused light. This gorgeous little love bug was all smiles for me and we had so much fun together. Loved this family to pieces :)

Just because Stork has STUDIO in it's name doesn't mean that I only shoot studio setups - in fact more often than not, I'm outside shooting or in clients homes or apartments, on location or whatnot. A PROfessional photographer goes everywhere :) It's just finding the right light mix and willing families who want to try something new.

Newborn Baby Photography: Summer Baby Portrait Love

Was so excited to shoot this newborn baby portrait session in her parents home because they had a wonderful garden, little did they know that it would be in a small patch of these beautiful plants that I would select to shoot in! Sprinkled a little Stork Studio magic and viola - the output was fantastic. This little woodland fairy slept the whole time and was such a sweetheart. Her parents were the nicest and I'm so happy that they have their new baby joy.

A Suuper Newborn Shoot!

This little superhero's Dad is an avid comics collector so we decided to incorporate it into his newborn shoot. Manu was a little chomper for our sessions and drank a whole lotta milk to super charge his powers ;)

i-Mag Magazine Cover and Feature!

Incredibly thrilled and honored to land i-Mag's cover and 8 pages worth of a feature his July 2012!  I was interviewed last month by EIC Neil Garcia and Coco Saito who came to the studio for a visit. We had a great time sharing stories and anecdotes together and didn't expect this at all. In the interview/article I discuss newborn photography and child photography with a focus on safety and tips. It's been raining here but the bad weather didn't stop us from having a burst of sunshine in the studio. Had a great time with this smiley little sweetheart and her uber nice family.

New: Cake Smash Sessions!

Today I launched our newest product offering, the CAKE SMASH Session!
What is a Cake Smash? It's a great way to celebrate a birthday by having your little one have a cake and smash it all by himself. We can get pretty creative with these things and I can't wait for my next session this week :)
A first in the Philippines, only by The Stork Studio of course.


In this session we did a Cake Smash with Kieran, Amanda Griffin-Jacob's handsome little man who just turned 1. Had a great time with him and he definitely enjoyed it too.

Newborn Baby Photography Manila - Workshop Photos

I just came from my dream-come-true newborn photography workshop and here are some of my photos from it. It was an amazing experience working with two of the best photographers in the world :) I learned so much and met some wonderful new friends. I'm going a little nuts buying props and stuff here coz there are just too many cute things! I can't wait to go home to shoot some newborns.

MommaClicks: A Photography Workshop for Moms!

Last Friday was the first MommaClicks Workshop. A basic photography and technique class  for moms that I started this year to teach moms how to take better photos of their children. I had 9 participants and it was quite successful if I may say so myself :) We had a lot of fun together sharing stories about their children and photos and "tricks" we do to get that perfect shot.

The Stork Brings In New Stuff! : Baby Photography Manila

Sometimes studio shoots need to be amped up. One of the different things we are doing this year at The Stork Studio is go beyond the regular studio setup ;) here's a sample of what's in store :)

Baby R: Newborn Photography Manila

This little one was a bit fussy at first but we eventually got her to settle down with a few tricks :) I loved her big brother who was so gentle with her and made this shot a winner. I really love it when siblings are photographed in ways like these that evoke a lot of emotion in them...what a treasure :)
